Cake

It has been a few days between blogs sorry.
I have been working on this cake project and it has taken a few days to complete fitting round family life.
I found a cake on Jayne Mercer blog and I had to give it ago.
The flowers were fun to make using the Scallop Circle Punch. This punch is so versatile and I have used it a lot, Thanks Liz for the loan of it. I have put it on my Wish list.
I made the cake out of Whisper White stock card, then I masked the sides so I could stamp the top of the cake with Baroque Motifs Stamp set. In Olive Old Ink. I really love this Set.
I used Holiday Treasures DSP for the band round the cake and the flowers.

First Order

I did my first order today, it went well. But it did time out on me, when my 4 year old boy Samuel distracted me, but got there in the end all's well that ends well. Then I got some paperwork done.

Samuel got hold the camera while I was working and took the photo of me at the computer, not a bad photo. Then he asked me to take a photo of him. Then he went and took a series of photos and videos most of them I have deleted, some of them are fine. I will have to get him to scrapbook them. He is a bit of a character and gets away with it sometimes as he is our youngest. I will have to get him to show me how to video on our camera as I don't know how to do that. Haven't had time to any craft today. I got some sewing done yesterday. Tomorrow I have got a couple of friends coming over to do some card making.

My First Workshop

Thanks Liz for everything and for sending me this photo. Didn't we have fun. I enjoyed the whole day it was nice to meet you all. The flower pots that we made during the Friday Make nd Take were fab. I then rushed about picking up kids from Montesorri and get the older 2 from a friends. Savannah (11) was on tea duty. Then I was back at Liz's at 7pm for the workshop. We had a ball, I so enjoyed your company, we muddled through the make and take and got there in the end. Thanks for your support. I am looking forward to doing the 3 workshops that I booked on Friday, and getting to know you more and meeting your friends. It was a long day, I didn't get home till 11.30pm but was so great I could have done it all over again.

Accordion in a box

I found this project on a scrapbook lounge video.
I had to give it a go.
Materials used are as follows
Bella bleu DSP
Not Quite Navy Stock Card
Scallop circle punch (flower)
Biroque Motifs stamps
Versamark ink

I cased the flower from Lisa Bullock blog. http://daffyscrapper.wordpress.com/

The photos are of Mt Nimrod. Which is 32km south west of Timaru, South Canterbury, New Zealand. It is a lovely spot to camp or just go for the day with a picnic lunch.

Samples

Here are some of the projects that I have been doing over the last couple of days. I will be doing some of these at my first workshop. I have had fun making these. The Strawberries and Treat Cylinder are very cute, you can put chocolates in them to make a nice wee gift. If you would like to get some friends together I could do a workshop in your home and we could make some of these.
