Scallop edged Circle

I made this thank you card for Keryn and Tanya for organizing the unconventional swaps.
I'm so looking forward to all the swaps arriving next week.
I found this on internet somewhere and didn't bookmark it, so I don't know who to give the credit to.
A big thank you if it was you.
This is a very easy edge to do around a circle or oval.

First of all cut your circle using your Circle Scissor Plus. I cut my at 8cm across.
Stamp your image.
Cut 3cm strip of Card Stock (A4), Use Eyelet Border or Scallop Edge Punch all the way across the strip.
Then cut from bottom edge to about 2mm from top at the valley.
Put Snail all round the back of the circle and adhere Eyelet Edge strip ajusting as you go to get the look you are after. I started at the back and turn it over and worked from the front.
When you have completed the circle trim off remaining card and mount on to card
 Back view of completed pendant.

Supplies List
Stamp Sets: Pendant Park and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
Card Stock: Old Olive, Whisper White and Cottage Wall DSP.
Ink: Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry.
Extras: Eyelet Border Punch, Word Window Punch and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Second Entry In JAI#17

After seeing Delys tutorial on Brayering as part of the JAI blog hop, I had to use my brayer for the first time. It had arrived in my last order, I had been inspired by Michelle Zindorf, (she does the most amazing brayering and sponging) to buy my brayer. Her blog is a must visit blog, she has over 300 excellent tutorials.
So here is second entry for JAI#17
So here is my first attempt at brayering. The Tree is from Lovely as Trees Stamp Set.
Supplies List
Stamp Set: Lovely as Trees.
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla and Whisper White.
Inks: Basic Black, Soft Suede, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Night of Navy, Old Olive and Kiwi Kiss.

Here's the 2nd card using my brayer. For this card I used the tree from Thoughts and Prayers and the vines are from Vintage Vogue Stamp Sets, then I applied some Glue and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds on.

In The Mood for Blog Hop, Go Visit Just Add Ink.

The girls from Just Add Ink have a real treat for us all this week.
They have got a Blog Hop for us with lots of great tutorials, I recommend a visit.
For thier challenge this week (JAI#17) is Just add ... Technique from the Blog Hop.
The choices are just so good you won't know what to do first.

The Technique I chose was Paper Beads and Faux Silk, the great tutorial was by Bronwyn Eastley.
After reading Bronwyn's blog it joggged a memory of Carole' Anne Blog, I had bookmarked awhile ago to do.
So today cards have been inspired by both these 2 talented ladies, Thanks Bronwyn and Carole'Anne.
I wanted a asian feel to this card. So I used Asian Artistry Stamp Set (Level 2 Hostess), I'm enjoying using this set at the moment, if you would like to earn this set for free, email me and book your workshop.
I did a google search for asian knots and sent most of last night trying different knots. I coloured household string with Real Red and Basic Black Ink Pads, very messy and my fingers are still stained (all in the name of craft) I was very pleased with the end product. This is the first time I have used household string in my work I was inspired by Danielle Daws who can't live without her string.
The Bead are made using Pink Flamingo DSP and I rolled them in Crystal Effects.
I thought this card would make a very nice wedding card, so I stamped Mr and Mrs from Occasional Greetings Stamp Set on the front.
The inside of the card I have a strip of Faux Silk and stamped For The Newlyweds from Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set Autumn-Winter Mini.
Here is card number 2.
This is very similar to the first card, I Have used different stamps from the same Asian Artistry Stamp Set.
I embossed the red tissue paper to make the Faux Silk, using Gold Embossing Powder.
Supplies List
Stamp Sets: Asian Artistry (L2 Hostess), Occasional Greetings and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
Card Stock: Real red, Basic Black, Whisper White and Pink Flamingo DSP.
Ink: Real Red, Basic Black and VersaMark.
Extras: Gold Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Powder Pals, Crystal Effects, Snail, Glue Stick, 2-way Glue Pen and Daubers.
Red Tissue Paper not Stampin' Up.

Laying low

Hi sorry that I haven't blogged this week, I have been laying low. Yesterday was the first day that I wasn't doped up on pain killers.
I got some things done around home, and I started working on some swaps.
Stampin' Up has a Convention in Sydney next weekend unfortunely I can't made it.
So some of the demos are doing an unconventional swap, these are the swaps I have just this morning completed. I will post then to Keryn this afternoon, then she will post us all the swaps after the 25th May. I will be watching the mail box closely.
Here is a card we did for a make and take at a workshop last Saturday.
It is using the XL 2 Step Bird Punch, Big Shot, Top Note Bigz Die then embossed with Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder and I sponged over embossed flowers with Rich Razzleberry Ink. The back ground is Rich Razzleberry Card Stock stamped a flourish from Pricless Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry Ink, the sentiment is from Best Yet Stamp Set Level 1 Hostess Set.
Here is a close up of the embossed Manhattan Flower, I'm really impressed with the embossing folder and the Big Shot. How did I do without?
