Circle Card for JAI 70

Here's this weeks JAI 70 Sketch Challenge.

When I saw this I knew straight away that I had to use my Scallop Circle Bigz Die, that I have had for a month or so and hadn't used yet.

Then I thought I must make a Scallop Circle Easel Card, that Bronwyn Eastley does so well.

 I didn't want to use colours I that I use a lot, so I went to the projects from Ustamp with Dawn and Friends Oh My Word projects and found this colour combo that Ilina Crouse used and challenged myself to used it.

 My Circle Scissors also got a good workout.

 I have used Shimmering Pastel Technique again, I'm loving this technique.

I also adding Dazzling Diamonds in the centre of the flowers.

Card Stock: Bravo Burgundy, Certainly Celery, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla.

Big Thank You!

At our Mini Convention last Saturday we had prize patrol.

Which was all made possible by Em sending us some AB FAB prizes.

I'm told when you go to convention there is different colours labels on your names, so we did the same.

I won a Basic Black Ink Pad, which will come in very handy.

Here is the Thank You Card I have made on behalf of the First Kiwi Stampers.

 It's my take on Alison's Make 'n' Take that she presented (in my last post).

 I have changed it to work with what I had on hand (as you do).

I have coloured my flower in Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Pastel then added Frost White Shimmer Paint.

White or Vanilla ribbon didn't look right, so I used my Spritzer Tool (yay I have found it) on White Taffeta Ribbon with Cherry Cobbler Marker.

Here's the inside.

I hope that hits the mark Team, I'm very pleased with it.

Mini Convention Make 'n' Takes

At the Mini Convention on Saturday we had 2 Make 'n' Takes, and 2 Wows presented.

Alison Hydes did the first Make 'n' Take.

JAI # 38

Hi Everyone, sorry I haven't blogged for a few day.

I have been very busy in my garden this week, with the help of my Dad we have planted tomatoes, cabbage green and red, cauliflower, broccoli, 2 varieties of lettuce, spring onions, strawberries and potatoes.

Thanks Dad for all your help.

So I haven't got any crafting done, with gardening and the Commonwealth Games on tv.

I haven't watched the games tonight and have been working on a birthday card for my Mother In Law, her birthday is next Friday.

After seeing the challenge at 'Just Add Ink' this week, I thought I would use Pink for the card.

JUST ADD BLING ... and PINK!

I don't like a lot of pinks (soft pinks especially) but I do like Melon Mambo so I have used that.

And after talking to Jennie my downline tonight about Shimmer Paints, I knew what I was going to do.

I have used the Floating Watercolour Technique using Watercolour Paper, Re-Inkers mixed with Frost White Shimmer Paint and Aqua Painters.

I sponged the Ink mixed with Shimmer Paint directly onto the stamp, it gives it a beautiful shimmer.

I decided less was more and added only 1 Rhinestone, for the dot on the I in birthday.
