Yesterday Samuel went to Gleniti Keas (Scouts Ass) for the first.
He was very unsure when we first arrived, then bit by bit started joining in.
I was able to slip out of the door and he never missed me.
He was awarded Kea of the day and he is very keen to go next week.
This is the Kea that he has bought for the week.
Next week they are biking thriugh the Scenic Reserve.
Hi Helen,
ReplyDeletei hope he has fun with the Kea's, my Daughter (14) is a scout, and loves it so much that she does not want to move onto ventures later on this year, this weekend we are off on an overnight trek and a under the stars camp. She recently attended the jamboree held here in Hamilton, that i think is a hight light of a scout, as most only get to attend one.
The confidence they build is a real charm for us parents to see
I am sure he will excell at Scouts Helen. It is one of the best things I ever did in my life. i joined Venturers at 15 and then went onto Rovers and became an RA. They are friends for life and will teach samuel so much. Congrats Samuel on the Kea. ooxx
ReplyDeleteOh, bless! Isn't he gorgeous?! Cute Kea, too. Well done, Samuel.
