50th Celebrations

We had a fantastic weekend Celebrating Timaru Life Church 50th.
Everything ran so smoothly.
My Mum came down for the weekend, and she did all the Saturday morning sports, Hockey and Netball. Thanks Mum.
That meant Paul and I were free to get the church ready the Meet, Greet time and afternoon tea.
We had 180 register for the weekend and we all had a great time.
Sue excelled herself with the afternoon tea, it was amazing and she had made most of it all herself with a team of helpers.
Dinner was at Sophies on the Bay, we all had a great night, great food and wonderful entertainment.
Basil was a big hit, and even mentioned Crafty Helen in his show.
I forgot my camera (silly me) so will have to get some of friends.
Thanks Byran for this photo of me.
We all had lanyards with our names and program on, each decade had different colours, which was great.
There was approx 300 at the service on Sunday, coffee and cake ran smoothly, thanks to my team of servers.
In the church we had a fishing net filled with over 200 balloons, which were let down durning the last song.
It was a great way to finish the weekend.

  1. Sounds like an awesome weekend, Helen. So glad all your hard work paid off. The 'balloon drop' is such a cool idea!
