Framed Christmas Collage

On Wednesday evening we had our 1st Kiwi Stampers Christmas Team Meeting.
We had lots of fun, there were pressies from Rebecca for all of us.
Thanks Rebecca and a yummy supper.
The Secret Santa's were amazing, which sadly I didn't partake off.
The swaps we made were 2 1/2" squares CLICK HERE for more details.
Here is what I did with some of my swaps.
I decided to made a 4" square in the middle instead of another 4 squares, which shows more of the back ground Card Stock more.
Which means I have another 9 more swaps, so I will made 3 more and I will made another collage.
The frames are from Typo.
I had a bit of a dilemma when I was choosing my back ground card stock.
I didn't have any Old Olive or Cherry Cobbler 12" card stock.
So I had some Chocolate Chip Core'dinations cardstock, which designed to run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder then you sand it.
That wouldn't work for as I wanted the sheet to stay whole, so I started thinking about bark rubbing (like we did as kids with crayon and paper against a tree).
So I put the 'Modern Mosaic' Embossing Folder open on the table and placed the Core'dinations C/S over it and used my standing block, I moved it 6 times and the photo above is the end result.
I don't know if this is a new idea or not, I don't think I have seen it before.
Just shows that if we think outside of the square and work with what we have, you can come up with a sultution.
Have and great weekend, I hope you all get a chance of getting inky fingers.
I have to work today (I had better get ready to go) but hope to get into my craftroom tomorrow.

Team Swap

Last night we had our team meeting, it was so nice going as a local.
This was our guide lines for our swaps.
1.      Please use current Stampin’ Up! Product as much as you can, try to avoid non SU stuff
2.      Christmas Theme
3.      Pieces are 2 ½ inches square (3 inches if you cut before embossing thru the BigShot as they shrink)
4.      Colours – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White, Choc Chip, Crumb Cake, Champange/Gold sparkle (you don’t have to use all of them, but we did want to co-ordinate)
Here's my swap.
I left my swaps at work so I have to post them to all the ladies today.
I have bought a 12" frame from Typo to make a beautiful Christmas Collage.
The problem will be choosing which one to use.
 Here's all the swaps.
Thanks Patty for letting me use your photo.

Thanks Louise

Savannah stayed with Louise a lady from church so she could finish her school year.
Here's the thank you card I made her.
I used Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla.
I embossed the Primrose Petal Core'dinations card with Modern Mosaic EF, then I sanded it.
I used Chalk Talk Stamp Set and matching Framelits, which is a bundle in the Catalogue you can save 15% if you buy it as a bundle.
I like to add an element of the outer to the inside, I stamped the Mosaic Madness on the inner.
I stamped Lots of Thanks Stamp Set them used the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and mounted it with Dimensionals.

Thanks to Uys

Today I traveled to Timaru to pick up Darian and Savannah.
Darian has stayed at the Uys a family from church.
He was made one of the family.
Here's the card I made them.
Most of the family are swimmers.
I saw a cards on Facebook on Saturday that Jo Weedon made, I knew that I had to case it for the Uys.
So this my take on it.
The colour combo is Island Indigo, Soft Sky and Whisper White.
The DSP is from Venetian Romance.
The Stamp is from Lots of Thanks.
The waves were cut with Tasteful trim Bigz Die, the swimmer was 1" Circle Punch and Word Window Punch the body was cut using my trimmer.
The Ribbon is retired SAB Ribbon.
I loved making this card.

We Are Settled In Our New Home, Tomorrow I Go Get The Big kids

Samuel and I moved from Timaru on the last day of the third term (27th Sept).
We went to my Mum and Dad's for two weeks, leaving Darian (DS) and Savannah (DD) in Timaru with friends to finish their school year.
Paul, Samuel and I moved into our new home in Parklands 5 weeks ago.
We are settling in nicely, still boxes to unpack but slowly and surely we are getting through them.
We have found a great local church and are making new friends.
Samuel has settled into his new school, making lots of friends.
He has been to one birthday party and has another invite on the fridge.
We are loving been near family and had lots of BBQs.
We are enjoying been near the beach.
I have finally got my craftroom sorted enough to get some cards and swaps made that needed doing (it was left to last sadly).
It still needs some tweeting, and if you know where my sanding bits for my Core'dinations Card Stock are please let me know LOL.
It will turn up.
Tomorrow after I have got Samuel of to school, I'm heading for Timaru.
To pick up the big kids.
Tomorrow Darian has a level 2 Maths exam and Savannah has a level 1 Science exam.
Savannah has Drama exam on the 26th November which I will take her back to do.
Savannah has been very homesick, it will be good to be a complete family again.
I will be back to show you the things I have made later in the week.
That was a bit of a teaser for you.
See you later in the week.
