Thinking of You

Yesterday I wanted to make another card like I made on Saturday for my Dad for his birthday, using this weeks JAI sketch #203.
I have been trying to use products that I haven't used or used for a while.
So I decided that I haven't used 'Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit' much at all.
So I when to my Colour Coach to Primrose Petals.
The Creative Combination is Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Basic Gray.
I love my colour coach, especially when I get into a rut of using the same colours.
I used Primrose Petals Core'dinations embossed with Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and used the Stampin' Sanding System to sand it.
I used the Apothecary Framelits again, but this time I embossed the large die with Flower Garden EF.
The Lattice work on the banner is done with Chervon Border Punch that is in the Occasions Catalogue.
Frenchie a American Demo has a video tutorial.
I found out yesterday, that friend of the family passed away on Saturday, I made it a Thinking of You card.
The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations, The inside I layered Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla and stamped the sympathy sentiment from Petite Pairs.

With Sympathy

Alison Hydes (my upline) lost her mother to a long battle with cancer.
Here is the card I made for her and her family.
I have used the Double Emboss Technique, which I saw on Jacquelyn Pedersen blog last week.
The colour combo is a combo that Tina one of my costumers is going to use for her Christmas Cards.
Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, thanks Tina.
I have used Whisper White Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder.
I also used 'Two Tags Bigz Die' and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon which are both new to the new Idea Book and Catalogue.

Because I Care

I have had 6 sympathy cards to make over the last couple of weeks.
They are the most difficult cards to make.
I have used 'Because I Care' Hostess Level 1 Stamp Set.
I stamped it on WaterColour Card and used Aqua Painters to colour it in.
I used Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Stazon Black, Old Olive, Concord Crush and Lap of Luxury DSP.
I used Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Stazon Black and Lap of Luxury DSP.
I cheated with this card, I had a couple of these Brayered panels left over from last years Regional swap, I changed the mounts and added the bling.
Last night the Online Class at Crafters Anonymous was great we made Star boxes.
I will be back later in the week to show you.
I need to get cracking on making 2 birthday cards for Thursday.
Have a great day.

Another Special Card

Here's another sympathy card, it is for my sister Sandra.
Sandra works in a Rest Home in Christchurch and there have been quite a few residents pass on in the last wee while.
Sandra has a big heart and get to know all the residents, and loves them.
Last week was a very differcuit week not only with the events unfolding on the coast with our cousin, but her favourite resident passed away on Friday.
Here is the card I have made for her.
Again this a cased card, I cased Amy Buchanan a Demonstrator is Aussie.

When I returned from Christchurch last week, I was told of a friend whose husband had just passed away.
Liz came and spoke at our Ladies Camp earlier in the year, we had a wonderful weekend with Liz.
So here's the card I have made for Liz.
I have made a Waterfall Card, using Every Moment Stamp Set.
This is a fab Stamp Set for watercolouring.
I have cased this card also (sorry a lot of my cards at the moment are cased).
Lisa Bullock is the very clever lady who I cased, I have changed my colour very slightly.
Lisa is a very talent lady go check out her blog HERE.
Thanks Lisa for your inspiration.

For Anna

Here is the card I have made for my cousin Anna and her 2 children.
I needed inspiration for this card, so yesterday I surfed the net for cards.
I found a card on Tania Gould blog here.
Thanks Tania for the inspiration when I saw your card I thought it looked like the West Coast (South Island NZ).
So this card is pretty much a complete case of her card.
Tania sponged hers, were I used my brayer and sponges and I have used this weeks sketch challenge at JAI#45.
I matted my scene with Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi, I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry Ribbon so I dyed some Very Vanilla 5/8' Satin Ribbon which I dyed with Rich Razzleberry Ink Refill.
I ruffed my Ribbon, which very easy to acheive and gives some dimension to your card.
This is the iside of the card, were I have used Pocket Silhouettes in the corner. I like to use something from the outside into the inside of the card.

With Sympathy

I have had 3 sympathy cards to make this week.
I have had 2 friends who have lost their father's this last week, they were both battling cancer.
Here's the card I made for Helen.
I have used the In-Colours (Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride and Peach Parfait) and Level 2 Hostess Stamp Set Apple Blossom.
I stamped the stamp in the same colour ink as the card, then mounted them on Whisper White Card Stock which I had trimmed using Scallop Trim Punch and mounted it on Sahara Sand Card Stock.
The cards that I made for Jean and Karyn were a brayered card, that I had spare left over from Christchurch Regional in August. Click here to orgional post.
