Inspired by Carolyn's Swap

Last Wednesday evening we had a team meeting, for those of us doing swaps we had to do 11.
I love swaps they were all so wonderful and full of lots of inspiration.
I really loved what Carolyn Bushby had done with the Bow Builder Punch.
Isn't she a clever chick, she was so proud of herself (rightly so) that it was her original, that she hadn't seen it online anywhere.
Here is my take on Carolyn's card.
I Both Carolyn and I have used Best Year Ever DSP and Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (ribbon).
Which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration.
I added a Simply Pressed Clay rose and coloured it in Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker.
I used Apothecary Accents Thinlits and used Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.
I embossed the Costal Cabana with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Wednesday Team Meeting Swap

Sorry that I haven't got back here before now, it's the last week of the school holidays and we have been making the most of it.
Wednesday evening 1st Kiwi Stampers had a team meeting.
Here is my swap.
It was inspired by Brian King's card using Sheltered Trees.
Brian is demonstrator in the states, go and check out his blog Here.
I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set, I just love this stamp set, the fern is so New Zealand.
The colours I used are Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Mossy Meadows.
For the swap we only do card fronts, but in my first card I made this is the inside.
Photo A Day Challenge has been a bit of a struggle this week, but I will get there.
January 23rd - Favourite
My handbag
 January 24th - Shiny
DD new pot plant.
 January 25th - Simple
Was a simply card I will show you in another blog post.
January 26th - Jump
On Tuesday we went into town to have a ride on the trams, around town there are lots of gap fillers.
This is a giant lounge suite, Samuel wanted to have a sit on it so I got him to jump backwards and forwards to get a good shot, the funny thing is that the 1st photo was the best.
 January 27th - A Challenge
It was a bit of a challenge, I thought of doing a card challenge but ran out of time.
When I was talking to my niece she suggested challenge service station.
So thanks to Jessica here's my photo.
I am 2 days behind so hopefully today I can make it up.
See you real soon.

Alice Wilson, Vanessa Manning and Lisa Johnson.
Sonia Cullen, Donna Head and Rebecca McHaffie.
Jenny Morgan, Marilyn Meadows and Rachel Morgan
Robyn Frost, Trina Leeston and Carolyn Swift.
I will show what I do with them when I have decided what I'm going to do them.
I did the Make 'N' Take for the team meeting, I will show tomorrow.

Framed Christmas Collage

On Wednesday evening we had our 1st Kiwi Stampers Christmas Team Meeting.
We had lots of fun, there were pressies from Rebecca for all of us.
Thanks Rebecca and a yummy supper.
The Secret Santa's were amazing, which sadly I didn't partake off.
The swaps we made were 2 1/2" squares CLICK HERE for more details.
Here is what I did with some of my swaps.
I decided to made a 4" square in the middle instead of another 4 squares, which shows more of the back ground Card Stock more.
Which means I have another 9 more swaps, so I will made 3 more and I will made another collage.
The frames are from Typo.
I had a bit of a dilemma when I was choosing my back ground card stock.
I didn't have any Old Olive or Cherry Cobbler 12" card stock.
So I had some Chocolate Chip Core'dinations cardstock, which designed to run through the Big Shot with an embossing folder then you sand it.
That wouldn't work for as I wanted the sheet to stay whole, so I started thinking about bark rubbing (like we did as kids with crayon and paper against a tree).
So I put the 'Modern Mosaic' Embossing Folder open on the table and placed the Core'dinations C/S over it and used my standing block, I moved it 6 times and the photo above is the end result.
I don't know if this is a new idea or not, I don't think I have seen it before.
Just shows that if we think outside of the square and work with what we have, you can come up with a sultution.
Have and great weekend, I hope you all get a chance of getting inky fingers.
I have to work today (I had better get ready to go) but hope to get into my craftroom tomorrow.

Team Swap

Last night we had our team meeting, it was so nice going as a local.
This was our guide lines for our swaps.
1.      Please use current Stampin’ Up! Product as much as you can, try to avoid non SU stuff
2.      Christmas Theme
3.      Pieces are 2 ½ inches square (3 inches if you cut before embossing thru the BigShot as they shrink)
4.      Colours – Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Whisper White, Choc Chip, Crumb Cake, Champange/Gold sparkle (you don’t have to use all of them, but we did want to co-ordinate)
Here's my swap.
I left my swaps at work so I have to post them to all the ladies today.
I have bought a 12" frame from Typo to make a beautiful Christmas Collage.
The problem will be choosing which one to use.
 Here's all the swaps.
Thanks Patty for letting me use your photo.

Were oh were...

...have the last three weeks gone?
I am working for the Elections Advance Voting, I will be at Timaru Girls High on the day as Enquiry Officer so I will the person wearing the lovely orange vest directing people answering questions and helping with the smooth running of the place, then I will be at HQ as admin support afterward for about 10 days.
When I haven't been working I have been help a friends son and also learning the ropes at the Mountianview High School Uniform Shop.
If I have been home I have been doing things around home or in the garden.
So there hasn't been much time for crafting, to be honest I have been lacking inspiration.
I did find time to get my swaps done for tonights Team Meeting, which I unable to atteend (very sad).
We were asked to used the 'Stitched stocking Stamp Set and Punch.
We were also asked to think outside the square, which just stumped me.
I have seen lots of different things done with it on different blogs, but I didn't want to case.
So here is what I came up with circles.
These are Christmas Decorations or they could be tags on your gifts.
lollipop Accordian Flowers are very easy to made, I found them on Pinterest.
All you need is 2 strips of DSP, Scoring Tool, Crop-A-Dile and some Bakers Twine.
I have used Letters to Santa DSP, Old Olive, Riding Hood Red, Marina Mist, Blushing Bride Cardstock.
Add a bit of Ribbon and Bling and wallah you have it.
Sorry about the photos, they were taking on my phone.

Drum Roll.....The Winner is......

Jo Armstrong AKA Purple.
I'm real sorry that it has taken me so long to do this draw, I left my laptop in Christchurch at my Mum and Dad's so had to wait for it to be couriered down.
Well done Jo I will be in contact soon.
On Saturday I attended the First Kiwi Stampers Mini Convention.
We had a FANTASTIC DAY, thanks Rebecca, Pauline, Sharyn and Alison for organising the day.
Here's my swap.
I have made a  V-Latch Card using 'Sew Sweet' and 'Pattern Pieces' Stamp Sets
I used Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, Very Vanilla Card Stock and 'Sweet Stitches' DSP.
I stamped it with Chocolate Chip Ink and trimmed it with Melon Mambo Pom Pom trim, I used the large flower from the 'Blossom Party' Die and 'Sweet Buttons' Embosslit in Tangerine Tango.
I think these would make nice invitations
We had a great day and thanks to Emma we even had Prize Patrol.
