Hello my Friend

Here is another card I made when playing around with water colouring techniques.
I need to play some more as our ink is different what the you tube clip I watched, it wasn't meant to cover the whole front.
So worked with my aqua painters and spritzer to lift colour.
I used the Hello Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set.

I embossed it onto Watercolour Card Stock then I did the watercolour effect.
Here's this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.
FMS#221
I them Stamped a collage with Timeless Textures with Craft Whisper White Ink.
I finished it off with randomly scribbling over the front with Clear Wink Of Stella Pen and added some basic Pearls.
The colour combo is Watermelon Wonder, Whisper White and Basic Black.
Go have a look at Freshly made sketches and join in the fun.
Today is the last day of school holidays, Samuel and I took our lunch to the park.
This a cool park about 20 minutes away from home.
He didn't want to go out but had fun once we were there.
 It's a glorious day today
This wharf is near the park, it is pretty munted since the earthquakes but is still safe to walk on.
Enjoy your day.

Regional Name Tag

At the regionals I attended last year in Christchurch, I was surprised that our names were wrote on a sticky labels.
I spoke with Emma and said that with us all been so creative that we should make our own names tags.
This year regionals are now underway and we have all been challenged to make our own name tags.
(Sorry girls, now you all know who to blame.)
As you know I attended the Dunedin Regionals on the 26th February.
I had made two name tags.
This is my original idea for my name tag.
I have used 'Bliss' (SAB) Stamp Set and used Emboss Resist Technique.
The Rose is made using Very Vanilla Ribbon and a Antique Brad (don't just love, them I do).
Here are the matching earrings that I made using Antique Brads, I got some pliers and pulled of the back of the brad, then I used Crystal Effects to glue on earring posts. (sorry this photo bit fuzzy)
The second name badge I made was this one.
I had been lucky to earn a free pass to "Oh My Word" round of UStamp with Dawn and Friends, I got the idea from Kirsten Brown tutorial were she had used the Owl Punch and made a necklace, so I made mine into a broach.
I used Early Espresso and Woodland Walk DSP for the background were I punched hole for the broach to go through.
Here is the broach and matching earrings I get a lot of comments when I wear them.
I didn't know which to wear on the day, so I sort advice from Jennie.
She liked both and said it depended if I wanted to go elegant or funky.
On the day I decide I would go elegant and wore the first.
The next round of UStamp with Dawn and Friends is about to begin.
It is called ‘Big Shot Brilliance! Projects to Die For!‘, and it starts on 18 March, and runs until 06 April.
It so much fun, you get 40 tutorials, live chats and prizes and much more.

Just Add Love

This week JAI Challenge # 55 is Just add LOVE.
Then I did my blog surfing that I do most mornings.
I visited Mary Fish's Blog which I go to most day, I loved her card that she had done and I knew I had to case it.
Go and check her blog, I love her work.
So no further ado here is my card.
I have used 'Bliss' Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, LOVE IT.
I have used Emboss Resist Technique again.
I have used Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Saraha Sand and Very Vanilla Colour Combo.
It turned into a wedding card.
I was playing with another stamp for my sentiment, but didn't work so I got out 'Teeny Tiny Sentiments" Stamp Set and used the wedding stamp which I stamped onto the ribbon with Stazon Ink.
The rose I made with Very Vanilla 5/8' Satin Ribbon and an Antique Brad, It was one of the tutorials from We Stamp For Lara.
Here's the inside of the card.
Go and check out what the JAI DTs have made this week.
