Just Add a Sunburst!

This week at Just Add Ink challenge 205 - Just Add a Sunburst.
I knew straight away what technique I was going to use.
I wanted to made a Starburst/ Sunburst card, Dawn Olchefske has a video tutorial.
I have seen lots online, it's been on my to do list for a while now.
I have used Quartrefancy Specialty Designer paper for the Sunburst.
I love the bright colours in this DSP.
I used 2 of the Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie sides of the paper to make my sunburst.
I used the Sale-A-Bration See Ya later Stamp Set, I stamped it in Black Stazon on Whisper White Card Stock.
I love this set, you can earn it for free when you spend $110 from me.
I punched it out with 2 3/8" Scallop Punch, then I sponged with Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Ink.
I added a heart from the Owl Punch and added a tiny Pearl Bacis Jewels.
I punch out a 2 1/2" Circle in Pumpkin Pie and mounted both with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon lengthways.
I sponged the inside Whisper White Card Stock and 2 strips of the DSP.
Thanks Tina for the challenge, go and check out Just Add Ink and play along with challenge.

Paper Pals Art Colour Challenge

Here is a bigger purse I have made thinking it would be good for about 15 cards and envelopes.
It was a challenge for me, the colour I struggled with was Wisteria Wonder.
I'm pleased with it but I think I will have rethink for my mystery box challenge, the cards and envelopes fit but not to nicely.
I made my own DSP on Whisper White Card with Betsy Blossoms Stamp Set.
I have used Silver 1/8" Ribbon from the Occasions Catalogue.
I love the flower, I made it using the Blossom and Pansy Punch and Watercolor paper.
I wet the paper using my Aqua Painter the added drops of Night of Navy, Wisteria Wonder and Smoky Slate Ink Refills, the I rolled in my hands while still wet layered 2 blossoms and 1 pansy, in the middle I punch a little flower from Itty Bitty Punch Set in Silver Glimmer Paper and added a Smoky Slate Candy Dot and added some Dazzling Diamonds to it.
For the straps of the purse I used Large and Small Oval Punches, then I added Candy Dots.
I have just noticed as I am doing this post, that one of the navy dots has fallen of or I forgot to put one on (so please imagine that it is there, I will be fixing it very soon).
I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the eye of bird and Dazzling Diamonds in the middle of the big flowers.

Pretty Purse

I'm taking part in a mystery box challenge.
Each month we have a set task to complete, this month it is to make a tote, box or folder to hold all of the cards made throughout the year.
So I have been looking on Pinterest for ideas.
Here's a little purse I have made, it would need to be increased to fit cards but it is a possibly.
The colours are Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black and Very Vanilla, the DSP is Venetian Romance.
I added a Basic Black Candy Dot to the bottom.
The ribbon and flowers are all retired.

See Ya Later Cased

Last Friday I saw the card that Linda Callahan had designed for Freshly Made Sketches.
I loved it and wanted to CASE it (Copy And Share Everything).
So here is my card.
The colour combo is Soft Suede, Gumball Green, Garden Green and Very Vanilla.
For the back ground I inked the Chevron Embossing Folder with Gumball Green Ink, run it through the Big Shot.
I love how the Zoo Babies Stamp Set goes so nicely with the See Ya Later SAB Stamp Set.
Linda stamped the wave, I have used the rig rag from Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die.
I cut it once then moved it so it would make a narrow rig rag.
Under the Linen Thread that was wrapped around the card, I used 1' Circle Punch to cut a Silver Glimmer circle and added Gumball Green Dahlia.
On the inside I added 1 stripe of rig rag and stamped the monkey and alligator.

Two Birds With One Stone

Today's card came together so easy, it was complete in about 15 minutes.
I have been looking and thinking about Pals Paper Art, PPA193- Sketch, also Just Add Ink # 204.....Colour Challenge since Friday.
For the back ground I have stamped the thin lines stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set using a Stampin' Dazzle Marker which is now retired.
Here's the sketch.
The colours are Pistachio Pudding, Crumb Cake and Gold.
I have made this card for a friend whose birthday that was yesterday, yeah I hear you I only made it today but better later than never.
Hadleigh shares the same birthday as Samuel, we have always said they are twin even though Hadleigh is older.
The 3 hexagons are from Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set, I dusted them with Gold Embossing Powder and used the Heat Tool to emboss them.
The happy birthday is from Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set it is cut out using the matching Bitty Banners Framelits.
I used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and Big Shot on the Crumb Cake panel, I wanted to give it a vintage look so I rolled the edges I also rough up the edge of the banner.
For the inside I did the same as I did on the Pistachio Pudding card, the stamped wish big from A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set in pistachio Pudding Ink.

Our Baby has Turned 9 Today

We have had a very busy weekend.
We had a bqq for Samuel's birthday.
Here's the card I made for him.
Samuel is going to be playing rugby this season, the club he has joined the colours are Orange and Black.
So I made a Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black card.
I have used the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketch 125.
I have turned it 90 degrees.
The middle card is meant to be a rugby ball, I free hand cut the curve.
The chevrons are cut using the Circle Card Thinlits.
The big wish and happy birthday stamp is from Bring on the Cake Stamp Set.
Then I cut it out with Apothecary Framelits, I also cut 2 Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie as well and layered them at the back, I like the way it looks like it is spinning.
I cut out the chevrons out of the Whisper White, stamped happy birthday then layered it on Pumpkin Pie.
Samuel has had a great weekend, today it was Kids Karnival at church lots of fun had by all.

3D Match Box Card

Yesterday I went to craft group at our church, it's a great group of very talented ladies.
I was making a 3D Match Box Card.
My friend Rachael Lewsley from FaceBook and fellow demonstrator from Busselton, Western Australia designed this card and has a video tutorial.
This is inside the box, I have used Flower Shop Stamp Set and the matching Pansy Punch.
I also punched some butterflies using Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly Punches and I used the Bird Punch for the bird and leaves.
The colour combo is Soft Sky, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.
I added Large Pearl Basic Jewels to the centre of the flowers and Basic Rhinestones Jewels to the butterflies and bird.
The flowers are on 3 tiers and fold down to close the box.
There is room at the back of the box for a gift card or/and some small chocolates or small gift.
For the front I sponged with Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and Rose Red onto the Flower Garden Embossing Folder.
I loved this effect.
I matted the Whisper White, then added some retired seam binding ribbon.
I then stamped happy birthday stamp from Label Love and punched it out with Artisan Label Punch that matches the Stamp Set.
To complete it I mounted 2 butterflies and added some Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
This weeks challenge over at Late Night Stampers #243 - Punch Art.
So I will submit this for their challenge.
Here's Rachael Lewsley U Tube Video.
There is room on the back of the box for your message.
Thanks Rachael for sharing your video.

Same But Different

Yesterday I had fun making two cards using the Mojo Monday 334 Sketch.
It's the first time that I have partaken in a Mojo Monday Sketch.
They are the same but different,
Here's the sketch.
The colour combo is Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate and Whisper White.
I haven't used Bermuda Bay before, it looks great in this combo.
I turned the sketch around so my card is short and stout.
I folded an A5 Basic Gray card in half long ways.
I inked Bright Blossoms and A Dozen Thoughts for the very first time making these cards.
I cut the stamped image out with Window Frames Collection Framelits, also for the first time.
I then made a envelope in Quatrefancy Specialty DSP, using the Envelope Punch Board.
It is the first time I have made an envelope with it, I have made boxes with it.
Here's the other card with is a standard A5 card.
There was lots of first times in making these cards.
I have been making 3 very fun cards today, I will pop back and show you them in the next few days.

Thinking of You

Yesterday I wanted to make another card like I made on Saturday for my Dad for his birthday, using this weeks JAI sketch #203.
I have been trying to use products that I haven't used or used for a while.
So I decided that I haven't used 'Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit' much at all.
So I when to my Colour Coach to Primrose Petals.
The Creative Combination is Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Basic Gray.
I love my colour coach, especially when I get into a rut of using the same colours.
I used Primrose Petals Core'dinations embossed with Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and used the Stampin' Sanding System to sand it.
I used the Apothecary Framelits again, but this time I embossed the large die with Flower Garden EF.
The Lattice work on the banner is done with Chervon Border Punch that is in the Occasions Catalogue.
Frenchie a American Demo has a video tutorial.
I found out yesterday, that friend of the family passed away on Saturday, I made it a Thinking of You card.
The sentiment is from Sassy Salutations, The inside I layered Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla and stamped the sympathy sentiment from Petite Pairs.

Cookie Time

The Cookie Muncher is a mascot for Cookie Time a cookie business here in NZ.
He is a cute red monster who munches cookies.
I have used Real Red, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Baked Sugar, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.
He is made using the Circle Thinlits and lots of Circle Punches.
I think he is quite cute.
