Happy Birthday Mum

Yesterday was my Mum's Birthday.
Here's the card I made her.
I cased this from Vicky Hayes a demo in the UK.
I have used 'Nature Walk', 'Aviary', 'Thoughts and Prayer' and 'Create a Cupcake' Stamp Sets.
The bird cage is embossed with white embossing powder.
The colour combo is Always Artichoke, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.
I used the smallest flower from Boho Blossom Punch.
I like to tie the inside of the card to the outside.
Mum loved it.

Thinking of You

Just before the end of last year, a friend of ours passed away.
So here is the card that I have made for Noeleen.
Mary Fish has a video tutorial to make this vase, it's so cool using the bird stamp in Punch Potpourri Level 1 hostess set. I know I would have never thought off it.
This is the inside of the card. The other Stamp Set that I have used is also a Level 1 Hostess Set called Silhoutte Sentiments, I uesd Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz Marker directly onto the stamp.
I also used Mary Fish's No Slide Ribbon Tutorial.
Thanks Mary for all your inspiration.
Supplies List.
Stamp Sets: Thoughts and Prayers, Silhoutte Sentiments and Punch Potpourri both Level 1 Hostess Sets.
Card Stock: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White.

With Sympathy

I have had 3 sympathy cards to make this week.
I have had 2 friends who have lost their father's this last week, they were both battling cancer.
Here's the card I made for Helen.
I have used the In-Colours (Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Blushing Bride and Peach Parfait) and Level 2 Hostess Stamp Set Apple Blossom.
I stamped the stamp in the same colour ink as the card, then mounted them on Whisper White Card Stock which I had trimmed using Scallop Trim Punch and mounted it on Sahara Sand Card Stock.
The cards that I made for Jean and Karyn were a brayered card, that I had spare left over from Christchurch Regional in August. Click here to orgional post.

JAI # 34

This weeks challenge is a colour.
My first thought was YUCK!
I'm definitely not a soft pink girl. I haven't got Pretty In Pink Card or Ink, I did have a bit of Pink Pirouette Card from a Assorted In-Colour pack from last year so I borrowed my friends (Liz Thanks) Pink Pirouette Ink Pad.
I had a Sympathy Card to make and thought these colors would lend them selves nicely for it.
I have used 'Every Moment' , 'Thoughts and Prayers' and 'God's Blessings' Stamp Sets.
'Every Moment' is a great Stamp Set for watercolouring.
I have used most of these colours before but  not together, it's good to be out of our comfort zone from time to time.
I'm pleased with how it turned out, even though it doesn't do anything for me.
My niece Jessica (ChCh refugee ) is staying with us, and she loves it.
The colours are my sisters colours and I'm sure she would like it also.
What do you think?
