Inspired by Carolyn's Swap

Last Wednesday evening we had a team meeting, for those of us doing swaps we had to do 11.
I love swaps they were all so wonderful and full of lots of inspiration.
I really loved what Carolyn Bushby had done with the Bow Builder Punch.
Isn't she a clever chick, she was so proud of herself (rightly so) that it was her original, that she hadn't seen it online anywhere.
Here is my take on Carolyn's card.
I Both Carolyn and I have used Best Year Ever DSP and Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (ribbon).
Which you can earn for free during Sale-A-Bration.
I added a Simply Pressed Clay rose and coloured it in Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker.
I used Apothecary Accents Thinlits and used Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.
I embossed the Costal Cabana with the Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Here is a CAS (clean and simple) card.
I am enjoying using Moon Lake Stamp Set.
I stamped the tree and boat first them masked it, I made another mask using Apothecary Accents Framelits to mask the whole card, I sponged the sky and grass.
Then I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the stamp.
To finish the card I used my Paper Piercing Essentials to pierce around the masked area and Old Olive Candy Dots.

Wednesday Team Meeting Swap

Sorry that I haven't got back here before now, it's the last week of the school holidays and we have been making the most of it.
Wednesday evening 1st Kiwi Stampers had a team meeting.
Here is my swap.
It was inspired by Brian King's card using Sheltered Trees.
Brian is demonstrator in the states, go and check out his blog Here.
I used the Butterfly Basics stamp set, I just love this stamp set, the fern is so New Zealand.
The colours I used are Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Mossy Meadows.
For the swap we only do card fronts, but in my first card I made this is the inside.
Photo A Day Challenge has been a bit of a struggle this week, but I will get there.

 January 25th - Simple
Was a simply card I will show you in another blog post.
January 26th - Jump
On Tuesday we went into town to have a ride on the trams, around town there are lots of gap fillers.
This is a giant lounge suite, Samuel wanted to have a sit on it so I got him to jump backwards and forwards to get a good shot, the funny thing is that the 1st photo was the best.
 January 27th - A Challenge
It was a bit of a challenge, I thought of doing a card challenge but ran out of time.
When I was talking to my niece she suggested challenge service station.
So thanks to Jessica here's my photo.
I am 2 days behind so hopefully today I can make it up.
See you real soon.

Moon Lake

The other day I got a chance to put ink to  a stamp.
I was playing with Moon Lake a new Stamp Set in the Occasions Catty.
I stamped the goose then masked it, so I could sponge the lake and sky on a panel od Whisper White Card Stock.
I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the goose and reeds.
I added a strip of Washi Tape to the ends of the panel.
To complete the card I scored to lines either side of the panel and added some Rhinestones.
It was a very quick and simple card to make.
Today's is - From where you stand.
This is the view from my front door towards the park.

Butterflies Framed Art

I made this piece of art using Basic Butterflies and the matching Thinlits.
I was inspired Tami White's card.

I just love this set especially the fern.
The butterfly was cut out of Brushed Gold Card Stock, then I inked it and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder about 5 times.
This will go in pride of my in my new craftroom, Samuel and I are planning on swapping room.
It was a busy weekend for me work wise, so I have 3 days of photos.

This the new tractor seat that I bought last week for my craftroom.
January18th - Exercise
Yesterday I worked a double shift so I didn't manage to take a photo. Samuel and I walked over to the shops today.
 Today's photo - Icy / Ice
Now here in New Zealand we are in the middle of our summer and today's high was 27 degrees Celsius which is too hot for me, so I had to think about it.
So I had to have a vodka on ice so I could get the photo, oh the sacrifices we have to make.

3rd Butterfly

Here's another butterfly card I have made using the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.
I cut the butterfly out of Whisper White card Stock, then sponged it with Hello Honey and Blackberry Bliss.
Then I inked it with VersaMark then embossed it with 50/50 of Dazzling Diamonds and Clear Embossing Powder.
The DSP is Painted Blooms from the Occasions Catty.
The grass is a piece of Wild Wasbi Card Stock.
The sentiment is from Crazy for you Stamp Set in the Occasions Catty.
I finished the butterfly with a embellishment from Something Borrowed Embellishments also in the Occasions Catty.
I completed it by making a wee collage in Blackberry Bliss ink using Butterfly Basics Stamp Set.
Today's Photo A Day Challenge was Happy.
Lots of thinks make me happy, Family, friends and creating in my craftroom to name just a few.
So I made a collage photo today.
My craft table, 2 of my boys number 1 son is in Timaru and Savannah.

I'm Loving the Butterflies

I have been busy playing with some new toys in my craft room.
I'm loving the new Butterflies Dies.
For this card I used Around the World Stampin' Up Challenge sketch, which closed before I finished the card.
Never mind that I liked the sketch.
SUO Challenge #114 this week is Dots, Dots and More Dots.
So I chose Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stacks which in turn dictated the colour palate.
I also played with Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper which you can get for free when you place an order of $110.00 NZD.
It is white paper with glossy patterns, so you can colour it.
I coloured the Dots with the Basic Grey Blendabilities Markers.
The butterfly is one of three in the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.
The hello is from the Hello You Thinlits Dies from the Occasions Catalogue which you can get it in a bundle with Crazy About You Stamp Set and save 15%.
I saw a video on using dryer sheets when using these dies by Deb Valder which you can watch HERE.
Today's Photo A Day Challenge January 15th - Candid.
We went to the swimming pool today and I got this nice shot of our Samuel.
