Raining Cats or Dogs

This weeks challenge over at The Paper Players is a theme Challenge #281.
I only have one stamp set with a cat or dog in it, which is Beautiful ride.
Here's my card.
I water coloured the VW Mint Macron and used Botanical Washi Tape for the road.
I punched out a circle using the 2 1/2' Circle Punch, then coloured over the top with Gold Wink of Stella Pen.
I used Clear Wink of Stella Pens on the car windows and the tyres and added 3 flowers in Crushed Curry.

I used Mint Macron, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Smoky Slate and Whisper White colour combo.
This is a 2 step stamping set.
Three excited looking puppies looking out of the windows and added a surf board on top of the bug.
To complete the car I added two Melon Mambo Candy Dots to centre of the wheels.

I like to add an element of the outside to the inside off a card, I put two strips of washi tape and stamped the couple and the sentiment.
Go and check out The Paper Players.

This weeks colour challenge over at You Can Case It

This week Dawn Griffith did a video on the Split Negative Technique using Beautiful Ride Stamp Set HERE.
As soon as I saw it I knew that that's what I was going to do for this challenge.
I wanted to case her card, but for a challenge I thought I would look at my other Stamps and see what I could come up with, I will case her card later.
I have used Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set.
I chose to make them wedding cards.
This one I used Real Red.
On this one I used Red Glimmer Paper, it lifts it up a notch to give real elegance.
I used Heart Border Punch for the red glimmer Heart in the middle of the flowers and the inside.
I used Beautiful Ride Stamp Set for the sentiments on the inside of the cards.
These could be engagement cards also.
It's a great two step stamping set.
I love the VW, my daughter loves the classic VW so I bought this set her in mind.
It's DD Savannah's 18th birthday today, Happy Birthday Honey.
I will blog her card on Sunday, We are having a party tomorrow night for her.
Have a great day.

Thinking of You Lotus Blossom

Yesterday at craft group I put ink to my Lotus Blossom Stamp Set for the first time.
I stamped in a variety of colours and made charts for my craftroom wall.
This is beside my table and is a great reference.
Then last night as I was checking my emails and Patty Bennett had posted on her blog a Lotus Blossom card which I promptly cased.
The colours I used were Calypso Coral, Basic Grey and Whisper White.
I stamped the blossom with Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe and Wild Wasibi and Pear Pizzaz for the stem..
I also used Epic Day Washi Tape, The thinking of you comes from Sassy Salutations and the stripe is from Butterfly Basics Stamp Set.
This was quick and simple card that came together very easily.
I'm entering it in the 'Can You Case It' Challenge CYCI#57
This is the inside.
I have made this card for dear friends in Dunedin.

Sheltering Tree

This weeks challenge over at Around the world Stampin' Up Challenges is a colour challenge.
Surprisingly the card came together quite quickly and easily.
Some of you would know that I struggle with the pale pinks, Blushing Bride I can cope with, the others my skin crawls when I use them so hence I don't use them much.
I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge SSS256
The Sheltering Tree Stamp Set is a two step stamping in photopolymer, there is 14 stamps in the set.
The possibility with this set are endless, I'm looking forward to playing some more with it.
I used Circle Collection Framelits to cut the circles and the strip of Very Vanilla is cut from Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits.
I embossed the Chocolate Chip with Decorative Dots.
To finish this card I added a row of Pearls.
 This is the inside.
This card will be jetting it's way to Wellington tomorrow to dear friends who are struggling at the moment.
