Glenda's
The next two I don't know who made them they were Mother and Daughter, sorry girls.
Thanks girls they are all great.

Lost

I have lost a whole week somewhere..
That's what it feels like anyway.
Last Monday my Niece Jessica came and stayed with us, we enrolled her at Mountain View High School as her School was closed (she wanted to keep up with her school work) and at that stage there was no reopening date, (she went home on Friday with my parents as her school opened today).
So on Tuesday she started, then after school we had to register her as a refugee.
Wednesday was Samuel's 6th Birthday (our youngest).
Mum and Dad came down for a few days, they went to Keas with Samuel.
I made his card on the day while he was at school, when I got to school (a bit late) Samuel and Jacob who I picking up, were not at school.
He had decided as he was a big 6 year old he could scoot home (New Scooter Birthday Present).
Jerry and Mr Goulet (parent and teacher) got in their cars to look for them, Mr Goulet found them, they were almost home.
I said it was funny (after the event) as a reward they got a ride back to school in a teachers car then I took them through the Scenic Reserve looking for Jerry as I didn't have his cellphone number.
When we finally got home on the doorstep was a birthday cake from the radio station.
Grandma Barbara always put the kids birthdays on the birthday calls and he won the cake.
It was a very yummy cake, and it meant the the ice cream cake that was in the freezer could be saved for the party that we had on Saturday.
Anyway back to the card.
It is a Moving Circle Card, Patrice Halliday-Larsen showed us how to make these at the Dunedin Regionals.
Go check out her blog HERE.
Samuel loves his trains so of course I had to use 'Choo Choo' Stamp Set.
You move the tab and the train starts backing up.
I also used 'Create a Cupcake' Stamp Set (sneak peek from Autumn- Winter Mini) available from 1st April.
I used Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist and So Saffron Colour Combo.
If you would like to know how to make this card contact me.

What a Great Day....

.....on Saturday at Dunedin Regional's.
We were a small gathering, we all had a great time, lots of fun and laughter was had by all.
Thanks Em, Sophie, Patrice and Christine.
One of the suitcases with Sophie laptop and many other product had got lost somewhere in Auckland, so we had to improvise with our make 'n' takes as we had a few things missing and Sophie did a wonderful session on wheels without product or images for us to see.
I made some of my make 'n' takes and I will finish the rest this week and Sophie has promised to email her photos of her wheels projects.
I won a door prize which is 'Sew Suite' Stamp Set that is in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue which will be available from the 1st April.
This is a great stamp set and was on my wish list, I can't wait to get all the others bits and pieces to compliment this set. I looking forward to playing with it.
Thanks girls.
Here are my swaps.
I have used 'Masking and Inbedded Embossing' Technique.
Crumb Cake, Tangerine Tango, Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red are the colours I have used.
I used Circle Circus and Heard from the Heart Stamp Sets.
I will be back in the next few days with the other swaps.
We had a great weekend in Dunedin, we had a surprise birthday party to attend on Saturday and we were able to catch up with other today.
It's great to be home, we have our niece Jessica coming to stay a few days to have a break from CHCH.
Hope you had a great weekend.

UStamp Playtime.

In the busiest of this week after I had finished my swaps, I have found time to play.
Here is a Birthday Card and Gift for a friend in Dunedin, her birthday is today and we will celebrating with her tomorrow evening.
We will start with the card.
This one of the UStamp Projects that Ilina Crouse has designed, I love the Colour Combo.
Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Tempting Turquoise.
I have used 'For Everything', 'Well Scripted' (Mini) and 'Ossasional Quotes' (Level 3 Hostess) Stamp Sets.
On to the Box of Cards.
I have used my Jumbo Very Vintage Wheel, inked in VersaMark for the background and Circle Scissors Plus for this project.
I have made a straight Scallop Trim Border Punch, to fit a round the inner circle.
If you would like to know how to do this contact me.
Here a photo of the whole project.
I didn't have the right DSP to work with this so I made my own on Whisper White Card Stock.
I had better go and pack for my trip to Dunedin for Regionals tomorrow, I so excited and I still need to go into town to get some jewellery findings, I thinking Vintage Brads would make nice earrings.
I will get back to you on that one next week.
Have a great weekend, I know I will.

What a Week!

On Monday I checked my emails and found that I had won a Free Pass to the 'Oh My Word' UStamp.
I was so excited, I could have easily phoned in sick for mainly music, so I could play (I didn't).
I had to also complete my swaps for Saturdays Regionals in Dunedin and to make my name badge, so when I had them finished I able to play.
Here's a sneak peek for you.
Then of course we all know what happened on Tuesday, we felt it down here in Timaru.
Our thoughts and prayer go to all the people of Christchurch.
It such a terrible disaster, I have felt quite sick ever since.
All our family and a lot of friends live in Christchurch, they are all OK.
On Tuesday my Dad celebrated his 70th Birthday, when I got hold him on the phone I asked him if he had caused this much trouble when he was born? Joking like.
He replied well..... he was been born it was in a middle of an air raid with all the sirens going, his family was rushing to the shelter and he and his mother were been rushed to the hospital.
I had never heard that story before.
My heart is aching for all the families who are missing loved ones, you are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey Presto

Here's a card that I made during the week, then I demonstrated it at a workshop.
I wanted to highlight the 'Presto Patterns' Specialty Designer Papers out of the Summer Mini.
These are great, they are all white and have like an emboss resist pattern on them.
The magic starts when you had the colour.
I have also scrapbooked with them this week, I still need to take photos so that will be another post.
These are out of the Summer Mini which end on March 31st.
I love this colour combo of Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Bashful Blue.
The stamp set is 'Bliss' a SAB set, which you can earn free when you spend $120.

School Project

Here is a project that I have been working on for Samuel's classroom, Year 1 and New Entrants at Timaru Christian School.
Mrs Thompson (Linda) has always done a whose who board on the wall outside of her classroom, with photos of the children, I was talking to her earlier in the week and she said that she would like to put the photos in a faux frame.
I told her that I had something in mine, so that day I had a play with Sahara Sand and Garden Green Card Stock and Sahara Sand Ink and Woodgrain Large Background Stamp.
Here is what I came up with.
Linda was so thrilled, so I made another 11 last night. She is hoping to get them up on the wall over the weekend.
I have added a Owl on each frame to finish it, isn't it sooo cute.

Family Affair

Oh boy what a busy week, and I have had issues with camera batteries also that why I haven't blogged lately.
We have sorted the batteries and the camera is all up and running again.
Last weekend Paul, Savannah and I got three classrooms curtains out of four finished for Timaru Christian School.
I had to unpick the side to join them together.
After I had sewn them together, Paul and Savannah measured and cut then pinned the hem.
Then I would sew the hems.
It was a real marathon, I'm pleased the bulk of them are done, the remaining classroom has issues so it with wait a few weeks, as I have Regional Seminar next Saturday in Dunedin and I haven't even started my swaps or name badge. Since it was my idea at the last regional I went to, make our name badges I had better get mine done.
I was so grateful of the help, Paul and Savannah gave me there was just no way I could have done it by myself.
Thanks Guys, you are awesome.

Just Add Love

This week JAI Challenge # 55 is Just add LOVE.
Then I did my blog surfing that I do most mornings.
I visited Mary Fish's Blog which I go to most day, I loved her card that she had done and I knew I had to case it.
Go and check her blog, I love her work.
So no further ado here is my card.
I have used 'Bliss' Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set, LOVE IT.
I have used Emboss Resist Technique again.
I have used Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz, Saraha Sand and Very Vanilla Colour Combo.
It turned into a wedding card.
I was playing with another stamp for my sentiment, but didn't work so I got out 'Teeny Tiny Sentiments" Stamp Set and used the wedding stamp which I stamped onto the ribbon with Stazon Ink.
The rose I made with Very Vanilla 5/8' Satin Ribbon and an Antique Brad, It was one of the tutorials from We Stamp For Lara.
Here's the inside of the card.
Go and check out what the JAI DTs have made this week.

More Bliss

Here are more cards I made yesterday using 'Bliss' Stamp Set SAB.
I have cased this from Dawn Olchefske Blog, it was a Leadership Swapper - Mercedes.
Do check out Dawns Blog it a great blog which I check regularly, I don't know if Mercedes has a blog, I would like to find it if she has.
This is almost the same as Mercedes.
Hers is stunning and I knew I had to case it even though it was blue (I don't do a lot of Blue).
The technique is 'Emboss Resist'.
I used Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Whisper White.
Here's the inside.
I loved it so much I have made 3 more in different colours.
Blushing Bride and Rose Red Combo (don't be so shocked another pink card. LOL).
Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz Combo.
Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Combo.
I like them all, but I think the Old Olive one is my Favourite.
Which is your Favourite? I would love to know what you think of these.
